JOB SUMMARY
Direct, coordinate and manage all field operations and related activities. The Electrical Foreman is a working supervisor who is responsible for his own productivity as well as the productivity of the employees reporting to this position. Is responsible for all aspects of electrical work done on a job site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that all equipment and tools on the job site are in proper working condition for safe operation, pointing out problems or damage to management or the mechanic.
- Read and interpret blueprints in order to layout and manage the job without supervision.
- Communicates scheduling and job tasks to other employees in a timely manner to ensure jobs are completed successfully.
- Ensures that all electrical systems are installed correctly per the prints, specs, contract, and code.
- Use measurement devices to ensure all electrical components are installed properly.
- Complete tests on all electrical components to insure they are working properly.
- Communicates with government workers, customers, and utility workers to ensure jobs pass all inspections.
- Ensures all jobs are done on schedule and within budget.
- Monitor the quality of work on all field assignments.
- Provide leadership, motivation, training, guidance, and counsel to all field employees.
- Identify training and safety needs, assist management in satisfying these needs.
- Inform superintendent of all activities in the field – job progress, problems, and issues – on a daily basis.
- Follows and observes safety and security procedures.
- Consistently at work and on time.
- Committed to working whatever hours, shifts, or locations are necessary for the success of the project (within reason and with appropriate notification).
- Fills out and turns in all required paperwork (timecards, job sheets, safety sheets, etc.) accurately and on time.
